 MANDIRAMS SOCIETY

The Mundakapadam Mandiram (Agathimandiram) has its origin in the unflinching faith in God of a single man, the late Mr. P.C. George, Puthuparambil and his compassion for his fellow beings who were destitutes. In 1933 he opened his own house to the destitutes and his sister Leyamma nursed the inmates. Leyamma's friends joined hands with her as volunteers for service (Sevinees). This was the nucleus of what we see today as the Mundakapadam Mandirams.

In its God-guided passage from a tiny destitute home to its present flourishing state catering to the needs of different categories of destitutes, needy and underprivileged, the Mundakapadam Mandirams continue to proclaim all success and growth as a Venture in Faith.

The Mundakapadam Mandirams are located in a serene and sleepy village, Manganam, about 6 k. m. away from Kottayam. They administer an Agathimandiram(1933) , Mandiram Hospital (1943), Nursing School (1962), a Senior Citizen Home (1977), a Balika Mandiram (2001) and a few other community development projects and are housed on a campus stretching about 6 hectares along the side of Kottayam - Karukachal road. It was registered as a Charitable Society No. K 28 of 1956.
